DOCHERTY

..or should I say it began almost two years ago.

RED FOG started its journey as I sat on a 10 year-old sofa somewhere in Culver City, CA.  I reached across the arm rest, which incidentally is now completely shredded by the talons of three quasi- domesticated cats, grabbed my laptop, and started to write. The story of  Nazi party leader Martin Bormann raising an army of the undead was initially written as a movie treatment, but then I met a guy named MIKE DOCHERTY.

To date, Mike stands as the biggest WW2 buff  I know, and he also just happens to be a world class comic book artist. He loved the treatment, and soon after we began producing the Red Fog graphic novel.  By mid 2010, Mike’s impressive vision of a post WW2 Europe overrun by Nazi zombies began to take shape, but amidst all the progress, there was still a significant hurdle to clear: publishing our book. Fortunately, there are all kinds of great options available for artists looking to get their books into print.  We chose KICKSTARTER.

Pitching Red Fog to the Kickstarter community was an amazing experience. Friends, family, and complete strangers from all over the world pledged to show their support for our vision of the book. They backed us, and now a story that began almost two years ago, feels like it’s only just beginning.

Thanks for supporting us. Go zombies.
